The internationally famous Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit is home to huge motor racing events each year, including the MotoGP, World Superbike Championship and the V8 Supercar Series. There are lots of hot non-race day activities, so come on down!
Go karts and hot laps
Go full throttle at Champ Karts on the 760 metre scale replica of the circuit. You’ll race right alongside the circuit, then you and your friends can compare your personalised lap time printouts.
Buckle into your 5-point harness for the real deal: an adrenalin-amping Hot Lap lightning ride around the circuit with an experienced racing driver in a race-prepared vehicle.
Follow in the footsteps of racing superstars on a tour featuring a MotoGP sound simulation and access to restricted areas such as the Race Control. And you’ll get to that spot where every racer wants to be – the winner’s podium for the “shake the Champagne” shot.
Vintage car meetings
The Mornington Peninsula has become a popular destination for vintage and classic car rambles and meetings, especially the RACV Great Australian Rally every January which raises funds for cancer research.
Car clubs and motor cyclists have become big fans of the Yarra Valley because of top drives and rides including the Lake Mountain road and the famous Black Spur (judged as two of the best in Australia by Top Gear Australia) and the road to Cambarville.
