Cycling round wineries
Take an 8km guided cycling tour around Moorooduc wineries, sampling as you go. Bring your own bike or hire one from the Mornington Peninsula National Park Visitor Centre and cycle Point Nepean. Ride along Western Port Bay on the Frankston to Flinders shared trail, take the Bay Trail along the foreshore from Dromana to Sorrento, or head inland on the rail trail between Red Hill and Merricks.
Tackle the rail trail
The Yarra Valley’s Lilydale to Warburton rail trail is a great favourite, but there are plenty of highway challenges including the '1 in 20' on the Mountain Highway. Lake Mountain has some very challenging mountain bike trails, while Lysterfield Lake in the Dandenongs is the site of the 2006 Commonwealth Games mountain biking event, with 20km of trails for riders of all levels.
